The purpose of the authenticity study is to explore whether teachers are able to distinguish between videos of child actors recreating a student's solution to a math task and the original student solving the task. Using child actors in videos has many methodological implications for mathematics education research.
For this study we are looking for two types of participants:
Child actors who appear to be between the ages of 8-10, appear to be Hispanic/Latino, and are able to act with Spanish and American accents
Current and former teachers of K-12.
